Where the news comes from

The radar reads public feeds every few minutes. It keeps only what the feed itself carries: the headline, a short description, the link and the time. It never fetches or copies full articles, and it never gets around a paywall. Every story links back to its publisher.

How a story gets its score

  1. Read. Every public feed is read every few minutes.

  2. Group. Copies of the same story from different publishers are grouped into one event.

  3. Sort. A first AI pass drops what can't matter to Indian markets, such as sport or a single stock's broker call.

  4. Analyse. A second AI pass explains the event and rates nine factors from 1 to 5, using only what the articles say.

  5. Check. Code rejects any analysis that uses advice wording or states a figure missing from the sources. A rejected analysis isn't published.

  6. Score. Code, not the AI, works out the score from the ratings and the weights below.

Bands: 80 and above is High, 65 Elevated, 50 Moderate, below that Low. A story is marked Breaking by fixed rules: a score of at least 70, a clear direction, and either three or more publishers or an official source. The analysis is generated by AI, may be wrong, and is published without analyst review.
